GMT-II BLNR lettering
Haven't seen much discussion about this, but I really like the white lettering "GMT-Master II" on the new GMT BLNR. I feel like it looks cleaner and it's easier to read than the green lettering on the all black SS and TT models.

I'm not particularly a fan of the green or the blue so to have the option of the dial with white lettering and painting the green hand red would be my preference. I'm just waiting to see someone do it.

Not me. I personally like the subtlety of the green lettering and 24 hour hand and the color's connection to the company and commemoration of 50 years of the GMT. I can read it if I need to but have no need to actually have to. "Easy to read" white font just sticks out to me, and distracts from the overall look of the dial. When the text is more noticeable it makes the dial look more cluttered and less clean to me. Having said that, I agree that on the BLNR green would probably not have been the correct choice of font or hand color.
But to each his own.

Nah, I love the green writing on the GMT2. It's a unique feature and makes it a stand out in the Rolex line, the white looks sterile and plain to me, but the bi-color bezel livens it up.

I definitely prefer it over the green - however I do miss the red accents of the older GMT!

Tbh I don't even see the lettering anymore. I also find the green clutters, the busy dial, a little less.

The green is so dark, that unless you are in very bright room or sunlight...you almost can't see it.
Which I like. But I noticed that immediately from the Basel pics...The white lettering |

Rolex should have completed the look on the BLNR with a matching blue date font.

Maybe in the future, Rolex will drop the font color on the entire GMT line. It will make the green lettering unique.

I would have loved to been a fly on the wall with the Rolex marketing guys debating whether they go with white vs. blue lettering with the BLNR. I'm liking the white on my new BLNR which replaced an LN mostly because it is easier to read. The Rolex "green" lettering though on the LN is special and I can understand why they did it. These guys are no less perfectionists regarding their product than Jonny Ives at Apple. I'm sure they had many mock ups before selecting the final color scheme. It's going to be interesting to see if and when they come out with the next revision--seems like a Red would be an obvious choice but these guys don't go with the obvious choices all the time.

I think both seem to work equally well for their respective models.
I like the green on the all black ceramic, but happy they went with white on the BLNR as opposed to blue lettering. |

My feeling as well coming from owning an LN since it was introduced that I just replaced with a BLNR this week. I think blue lettering would have been hookie while the Rolex green on the LN is just a nice subtle touch for us aficionados to relate. I'm over the moon delighted with the BLNR though!

My BLNR is still somewhere between Switzerland and my AD... Can't wait to get it on my wrist - just love the look of that watch.
