Can anyone recommend a jeweler that can put a "brushed" finish on my GMT2c polished center links and make it look like my SubC? I'm in the Chicago area but obviously not opposed to mailing the bracelet out if someone has a "go to guy" that they recommend. (Not enthusiastic about my local AD.)

I had that done on a GMT IIC a few years ago...Any Rolex AD should be able to do it, no problem...
Or just take a Green Scotch Brite pad and do it yourself...
They work great...

Scothbright is the answer here. Just remove the bracelet, and use blue or green masking tape to tape the polished edges of the bracelet to they retain the polished finish. Stroke the scotchbright pads with the grain of the brushed outer links. You should have nice results. Worse case scenario, take it to any local watch maker to have them finish the job if your not happy with the results. Good luck, and post pictures!

Have it brushed professionally IMHO. It's a $7500 watch. Scothbrite is good for a touch up but for the whole Monty, go with the people with the right tools. I did it for my gmt and it cost $150. I was very pleased with the outcome.

Agree. Some ad will do a poor job and it makes a big difference

Why didn't you just buy the subc if you wanted an entirely bushed bracelet?

@iazrollie, I have a SubC, just not to keen on swapping out the bracelet. I change my straps on my Panerai's quite often, just not too excited about messing with my rolex's. I did however buy a Bergeon spring bar tool. Haven't recieved it yet.

Love the GMT, the PCL's are just too "blingy" for me. Gonna also try out some NATO straps on it.

I would NEVER take the pcls off of my GMT. I absolutely love the Polished Sel right next to the brushed lugs. Ahhhhh so sexy. If I want a brushed finish id buy a sub c or older Gmt.

Wierd to see the gmt pcls get so much negative attention but on other SS models like the YM and Daytona its never brought up...
