Velitsko,

Let me know if you figure this out. I had to have a link removed on my GMT IIc also. Now I have 5 links from the clasp to the 6, and 6 links to the 12. I had this done while I was home on vacation, and the AD was closed so I took it to a jeweler and he fitted it for me.

But I too was wandering how to use the clasp alone to fit my watch.

Thanks

Kyle

I guess it would help if I read the direction posted earlier first.

Thanks

Maybe the socalled "Easy Link" should be renamed to "Tricky Link" since a tutorial is needed to figure out how it works!

frostie, i don't have the link that you're looking for but i remember it...

however, i was fiddling around with the link on the Daytona last night before heading out, and i worked it out... hard to describe, but if you spent a little time looking closely at it, you'll work it out...

...and check the manual again, because i'm sure with the Daytona, the manual booklet explains how it works, although the first time i read it i didn't really get it....

Hey just another question. I noticed that the sprinbar is at the second hole on the clasp. How can i move it to the first one? Is there a way? I want to make the bracelet shorter. At the tutorial the guy has his bracelet set at the third hole.

The spring bar can be moved by using a pin to dislodge the tip of the bar from the current hole. I use a paper clip when I need to move the clasp spring bar or change bracelets on my watches that have case holes.

I think that i confused you people and you got me wrong sorry my mistatke. Ok here is my problem

Take a look at the minor adjustment positions

Mine is at the second adjustable position. How can i get it to the third ? I am counting from left to right so the third adjustment position is going to be the one at the far right

Velitsko, you have to use a pin remover to release the bracelet from the clasp. You would wanna use the same kind of pin remover that you use for taking of SEL type bracelets at the lugs.

You can see the ends of the pin in the groove.

When released, simply insert one end of the pin in the desired hole and click the other end in place. Then make sure that BOTH ends of the pin are resting securely in the holes before wearing the watch.

Also, be careful with scratching the link and clasp. Place the bracelet on a soft cotton cloth.

No problem, Velitsko!

But again: Be CAREFUL! The new clasp with hidden holes is a bit tricky to adjust when you want to shift the pin. Scratches are very easily made during this operation. So take your time and use good lighting whilst shifting the pin.

Oh, btw.: The pin tends to JUMP out once released, so make sure you hold your fingers at the end where it would jump out so that you don't have to spend hours on a speckled carpet, trying to find the pin that flew away with 200 MPH.

Good advice Bo.

Velitsko, I looked at watch this morning as promised as yes, use either a pin remover or like me a pair of no.4 precision tweezers to shift that little sucker of a pin.

How about you, Velitsko? Do you wear the Easy Link engaged (folded out) or disengaged?

BTW: did you do the job of adjusting the bracelet, yet?
