Vegas and AP
So, im getting ready to head to LV for a few days - where are the best places to take a look at AP's these days?
In looking through prior threads, seems like Vicci? |

I believe there are only two places, one in the Forum Shops and one in the Venetian (sorry, don't recall the names but easy to find on the net). I had the misfortune of going to the one in the Venetian. I was interested in a FC Diver (which they did not have) but had to listen to the "manager" lecture me that I did not know what I was talking about and that the FC ROO 44 was all there was. Very rude, and after getting the catalogue and realizing she had no idea what she was talking about, said matter of fact, do you want it or not. Frequently wrong but never in doubt. Never again.
Forum shops was a better experience but not a lot of selection. And of course, no discounts, ever. Its Vegas after all. Non-AP stores head to the Wynn/Encore. Lots of great watches to see there. |

I was just there this past weekend, the shop at the Venettian is called Venezia, and the selection is kinda hmmmm, the had a FC44 and they supposedly have a RG44 at their sister store. I talk to a lady there and she was willing to negotiate.

I believe the Wynn Watch store carries them, was just there last week but I only stopped by the Vc and PP sections.

They did not have them when I was there in April. Still worth going there though.

AP has three AD's all owned by same person in LV. Palazzo, Vetenian and Caesars. Okay selection, and prices are bad--as to be expected. The Caesars shops one also has RM.

Palazzo had a AP Platinum 44mm last night - really a cool piece.
I had not seen it "in the metal" - the weight is incredible as well as the dial. I love the walk through the Caesar's Forum Shops for AP and other brands. If you hit Palazzo - Wynn is a nice stop as well for other brands. As many have said...Shopping - Yes...Buying - not so much |

The watch shop in the Aria hotel also carries AP (or I know it did 2 years ago).

I recently purchased a Royal Oak 15400 from Venetzia. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Pros - The most APs I've ever seen in one place (I had only previously been to the AD in San Francisco) - Definitely willing to negotiate. I didn't ask - they offered! - Want to enjoy your watch in Vegas, but still have it shipped to save tax? They "technically" can't do this (wink, wink) - Very friendly staff Cons - Granted I am still an amateur when it comes to AP, I'm 95% sure a few things the salesperson told me were false Tips - Definitely negotiate. All negotiations on AP go straight through the owner. They take your offer to the back and call him. We went back and forth a few times before arriving at a mutually agreeable discount, which I think was significant (not sure if I should post it here - PM me if you're interested). - Don't forget to ask for the free Royal Oak book! |

The only addition is that Richard Mille just opened a boutique at Crystals at City Center next to Aria. Enjoy!
