I'm sure a lot a people will disagree with me but I fail to see how a minor member of the British Royal family would influence someone to buy a Rolex.
Come the revolution.....................!!

Rolex has taken a wrong turn on this one.

They should have just given her the cash to NOT be a part of the advertising.

Rolex spends huge money on Equestrian events and magazines, and here's why they chose her:

Together with her horse Toytown, she collected individual and team gold medals at the 2005 European Eventing Championship in Blenheim and individual gold and team silver medals at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, making her the reigning Eventing World Champion.

Rolex wants to build an image, thats fine I guess just so long as they make good watches. The problem with an image is that people then believe the advertising hype and stereotype a Rolex wearer according to the advertising image portrayed.

Now I don't really care what people think, I guess stereotyping is not a problem with the advertising, the problem is more with some people who believe the hype of an advertising campaign.

Thus, as has been said I would prefer if Rolex didn't have a campaign based on wealth, royalty etc. However, I guess they need 'a face' and that is all it is 'a face' it has little to do with the quality of the watch and how it is made.
