Asking price and selling price are 2 different things but those Tudor Monte Carlo prices are unreal and going higher.
When talking to my watchmaker about the current watch market given the US and/ or global economy, he stated he thought the watch market would continue to escalate because of the demand in Asia. The number of millionaires continues to grow and so does the demand for high end consumer goods. Products no longer made will continue to command higher prices due to demand and limited supply. The number one rule of marketing. dP

It might be rare and sought-after, but that Tudor is not for me. Too busy and colourful dial for my taste.

Both the vintage rolex and tudor sport series are getting more commanding in price. The tudor monte carlo series are surely one of out-performing series recently. In particular, the one with home-plate dial is the most outstanding one..
I am one of the die-hard fan of this seris .... |

Nice watch that Tudor, but not for me too. Better buy a Rolex with that price.

Would tend to agree about the the price, you could say the same for the 6263/5 Daytona. They both have non Rolex movements but the cases are both Rolex oyster based and look at those prices now.
