Which watch to wear on a long trip to UAE

I've got a business trip to the UAE coming up. There are going to be some high profile meetings involved. So I can't decide if I should wear my Pepsi Bezel GMT II or my Daytona...

Any thoughts!

thanks

If you're selling, wear the Pepsi.

If you're buying, wear the Daytona.

If you are just meeting with peers then take them both and have an impromptu GTG.

Thanks for the responses, I'm leaning towards the Pepsi. I'll be meeting some folks that know the differences BUT personally I'd like to have the 24 hour hand keeping track of time back home in the states....the GMT is just so PERFECT for travel!

thanks

so you think the Daytona would be more impressive? I can't decide if the GMT would get more respect because it is such a specific watch to the task....

Daytona is a good conversation starter if you are around " watch people". I'd take the Daytona. JMO certainly not gospel. Both watches would be super.

From a functionality point of view GMT is the winner.

From a business point of view Daytona is the winner.

Just came back from a little vacation to Tucson last week....Having had to just deal with the time change stuff....

I would vote GMT....just to show the folks around you that you pick your tools based on the job.

btw...some really nice restaurants you have there in Tucson...

The GMT of course. It's what it's for. If you want to time units per hour, or speed between two points and the like take the Daytona.

One should consider cultural sensitivities.

Like GB has said, everyone will have gold or tt pieces, well, nearly everyone. Humility is also highly regarded over there, especially in outsiders. If you know the dudes well enough, then by all means, flash the Daytona.

As much as I would like to wear the Daytona to meetings etc, I reserve it for weekend wear or out to an event. The GMT II is designed for use as a travelling watch and that's what I would wear if I were you.

Hard to argue with that even though I would go with the GMT because it was built for time travel!

Well, with Thani's suggestion... when in Rome as they say, or UAE in this case.

Always good to listen to the native! Daytona all the way baby!!

Take the Pepsi since you're traveling. This is where the GMT's functionality comes into play. You can set the timezones for both the UAE and back home.

Enjoy your trip!
