Frustration!

Hi Everybody,

A few months ago, I asked the Forum to help me decide on a new Rolex because I hit a goal that I had set for myself.

I was thrilled that so many people put in their .02 and even offered some suggestions that I hadn't considered.

I've made my decision - I'm going with a Ceramic Sub Date.

Here's the pisser..... A month ago, my AD had one in the case and three in the safe. Went to pull the trigger the other day and you guessed it.... NOTHING!

Oh well, I'll need to wait a few weeks. Same thing happened with the same AD 5 years ago with my Expy II.

In some ways, it almost seems as if this short wait was meant to be.

Photos will follow as soon as I get the new prize.

Maybe it's not meant to be? I usually take things like this as a sign. What other piece did you have in mind?

A few more weeks isn't bad considering it will last the rest of your life.
Congrats!

Plenty of bnib here on trf. I'm done buying at the AD. It's fun to go in and chat but I'm hooked here now.

I don't know if it will work . I waited and waited for sd to come in to the AD for over a month. I called rolex to see if they could help. I just told them I waited this long can you tell me when this AD will get SD in ? They said they will look into it. 4 days later AD called SD was in. I never told the AD I called .

I'm in Arizona, what AD..?

I'd be shocked if Hamra or Robert Wesley didn't have a SubC, especially Hamra..

After buying from trusted sellers on here I don't think I could ever buy from an AD again. You can get almost anything you want delivered the your door next day and not deal with the bulls**t that goes with an AD.

It all depends....if you got a good AD and the price out the door with tax is the same or better as here on TRF it's going to be hard not buy from somebody you established a good business relationship with.
The prices here are ok but a lot of times you can get better ones from an AD!

I guess it depends on the AD. I have tried for years to work good deals with the local ADs but come up short every time. With the minimal discounts given on sport models I can't beat the prices I have received from trusted sellers on here. I'll keep trying though!
