Buying Rolex from diff country might got a diff quality?( for new one)
Anyone?
I ve heard heard that buying Rolex in some countries, we might got a different quality. Is this true? eg. Hongkong..,East Europe, (I m very sorry if this might cause anyone in these countries feel upset, nothing personal, it's just what I have heard) Some further questions, 1) Why there are different country code numbers? Is this mean to any reason? 2) Again, if the quality all the same then, Suppose if we buy in Hongkok why the price is cheaper there? Thanks thanks to you all!!! |

You heard wrong. They are all produced in the same factory, to the same standards. No difference at all in quality.
Rolex are less expensive in some countries because they have different trade agreements, and the local currencies vary in value. A good case in point, the 16613 TT Submariner: U.S. retail price $7,825 Canadian retail price $9,740 A price difference of $1,915 Exactly the same watch, with a different country code on the paperwork.

1) Different country codes - Simply as a way of tracking where a watch is sent to and sourced. A stock inventory system really so if its says 160, you know it was provided and stocked by Rolex UK
2) Quality is exactly the same no matter where you buy from, all made in the same factory's etc 3) Prices - Just down to economics i.e Trade agreements, Tax, etc

Well, my uncle's best friend's neighbour's hairdresser's son's girlfriends's brother said he might have heard from someone who's been to Switzerland and walked past the Rolex factory that the TT Blue Subs that were bought in Malaysia were the best Rolex watches ever made

Err buddy Terry...for the dear life of Orchi...where heaven have you heard the rumour from...?
Closer to Thailand... Country code 430 is for Singapore/Brunei/Indonesia...n 431 is for Malaysia... Country code 888/874 are for HongKong... Country code 838 is for China... 440 for Taiwan...410/413 for Korea...n 900 for Ja-pan... The NEW Rolex watches are all the same...worldwide...with exceptions in the USED markets... |
