What the......
...a couple of days ago I took my 14060 Sub out of the box, unscrewed the crown, gave it 40 or so turns, set the time, and screwed the crown back down.
A couple of hours later I looked to se what time it was. What the heck? Its doing the same darned thing again. Not running after rewinding it. Usually when that happens I just unscrew the crown again, let it pop out, then screw it back in. The watch starts up and life is good. This time around I decided to give it the JJ Irani "brandy snifter swirl" to spin the rotor and get it going, and it did. Backwards. The second hand started moving counterclockwise. By the time I had the presence of mind to get my iPhone and turn it on to camera video, because nobody is ever going to believe this, especially Kendall in Customer Service at 50 St Clair Ave W (Rolex Canada) when I call them to let them know what's going on, , the darned thing had stopped. I tried a few more times with the wrist swirl and it would run backwards for maybe 3-4 seconds, then stop. After unscrewing the crown to where it popped out again then winding it back in, it started running like a champion again. It was overhauled by Rolex Canada about a year ago, still under warranty. If this quirk ends up annoying me enough I'll send it back, but in the meantime has anybody here seen their Rolex running backwards?

I wouldn't hesitate to take it back. It's a mechanical device. It's not going to just get better. Something's wrong and an inspection should reveal whatever that is.

Wow. Keep us posted on what happens. Definitely something new to me. Never heard about any watch doing that.

I think you got the "Benjamin Button Limited Edition Submariner". Very rare piece. In all seriousness, keep us posted!
