started a pleasant window shop
Have my name down for black dial Milgauss. Called into shop where I am on books & got to see a white dial version about to be shipped to owner. Dial aside I was very pleased I would soon get one. Then saw new GMT 2 in next shop. Oh dear...
I would be silly to forgo Milgauss right? But just cannot get that GMT out of my head! |

Why would you be silly to forgo the milgrauss? In some respects the new GMT has a lot more to offer. Personally I really can't understand the drama over the Milgrauss, but hey, each to there own.

We are creating our own drama. Don't get me wrong the Milgauss is a nice watch. But to pay over retail for a watch with no date....I would reconsider the GMT IIC or the almost not to be availible any more GMT II before I pay a premium. We ourselves are driving up the cost and creating the drama by paying a premium.

Welcome to TRF!
I for my part would prefer the SS GMT IIc if I were to choose between it and the MG. As an everyday watch, IMHO, the SS GMT IIc is just more practical. Both are great watches, though, so you cannot go wrong with either.

Is this your first Rolex? Are you planning to collect them....or are you a one watch kind of person. Choose the watch that looks best on you, and offers the functions you need and prefer.

Milgauss
Thanks for the replies.
I have had many Rolex. My disability has got worse over years. Fiddling with date has become a chore as i rarely user it. I agree the gmt has much more going for it feature wise. I know the date is easier to change on GMT due to hour setting. Why i should wait for the Millgauss-which is an investment in some respects? Or just get the GMT. |
