Any info on this old Tudor?

Hi, here is my first attempt at a watch pic so please bear with me!!
Here is a Tudor watch presented to my Grandad in 1949 for 25 years service at his place of work.
I have had it serviced and it keeps pretty good time. As you can see the luminous paint has dropped out of the hands and there is a scratch on the dial.
Could you give me any information about it and is it valuable??

Of course it's valuable! It belonged to your grandfather!

If I had the watch of my grandfather, I wouldn't care how much it is worth. It would be priceless to me.

The intrinsic value is priceless. The market value is ~$1,500 in 9.0 - 9.5 condition. Your example might reach $1,000.

Thank you for your answers. As the watch belonged to my Grandad I would not sell it. It will be passed on to my sons especially as the eldest knows more about watches than I do and can spot a Rolex a mile away! He was given his great great Grandad's pocket watch for Christmas (wife's side of the family) - a silver Benson made in London in 1892. Lucky lad!!
I am more interested in any information about the watch model or even a link to where I can glean some info.
Cheers, PeterT
