SS or RG Daytona?
Yes, I know, I should keep myself busy rather than posting odd questions here....but I AM A WIS!
Looking at my SS Daytona earlier today, I realized that it spends a lot of time at the safety box. Now, there is a RG Daytona in the works, and I already have the YG Daytona....should I let the SS go and use funds towards the RG? Or keep it? Don't get me wrong, I love the SS...just asking. (Yes, RG will see more action that SS) |

If you think that the rg will get worn more then by all means trade it towards a rose gold bracelet model. I can't think of a single reason other than depreciation that would keep me from making that decision (and about 16k additional)

If you do not wear it, then sell it. Although, personally, having a YG and RG Daytona seems a bit redundant to me, but coming from a guy that has 12 divers you don't have to justify anything!

Hell yeah.... Love the rg with the brown dial with the black bezel...I was just on this fence with the rg vs the yg... But went the yg strap with black mother of pearl diamond dial....couldn't pass on my grail watch again.

Yes, if it'll see more use then get the RG over the SS.

Yup, sell it and wear something that will get more time....I notice from your pics though that you mostly wear the 116613.

Yes. I think folks over think holding onto a ss Daytona given the scarcity but the RG is a no brainier for me.

When a watch spends a lot of time stored away then it's time to flip it. I'd say go for the RG, Gerardo. You'll have a pair of killer Daytona's.

If you don't need the funds from the SS Daytona, you should keep it. It's always nice to have around.

Seems like the SS will see even less action once the RG is in the fold. Set it free and let someone else enjoy it.

My $0.02 is if you own your watches to wear, rather than trying to accumulate for collecting's sake and personal satisfaction (nothing wrong with either I might add!), then do the flip.

As others have said, you should do the trade if you think the new one will be worn more often. Besides, I personally prefer the RG version to the SS.

I'm saving up towards a RG chocolate dial Daytona on a strap. Guess it'll be a good addition to the chrono collection. :)
