Rolex Store - Hong Kong Airport

I was hoping to see a few cool watches during my business trip in Asia, but not two floors of eye-candy!!! This store opened in August and claim to be the largest is Asia...I did not see anything missing from the line up!!!

I almost missed my flight looking around...the blue on the Daytona clashed too much with my shirt so I passed on the purchase. :)

Nice! I bet that was fun. We're their prices reasonable? Lower that the US? I never travel that part of the world. Worth the trip for a watch-er?

It was a blast and fully unexpected as I had no idea it was located in Terminal 1. I counted 6 or 7 employees on each level so when I asked to see the Platinum Daytona they really stepped up their attention level!!

They claimed better prices than USA and no tax...I am not sure if that is true, but I could have purchased that beautiful Daytona for $75K out the door.

They will also ship the box and papers seperately, too. I asked them about that.

Hong Kong is tax free island wide so there is not much incentive to shop at the airport. Quite sure there are better deals to be had on the main island.

Sure, AD discounts and boutique discounts are generally 5% across all of Hong Kong, airport included. I can't see them doing that much business, but certain mainland Chinese shoppers might find themselves with a few thousand yuan that need offloading before flying home.

On my last trip one of my flights was delayed 3 hours. Pity it wasn't in Hong Kong!

Good thing you passed on the Daytona. That non-matching shirt would drive me nuts.

I was there last week. It was an amazing store. I was looking for a white gold DD II with blue wave dial. Cannot find it anywhere in Hong Kong or Taiwan. But there was one in display in this store. Price is slightly higher ( 5% ) than AD in Taiwan.

I've been by there 6 or 7 times since they have opened, only walked in once though.

Their pricing is rather firm as I believe they are a official Rolex store. 5% max discount. Most AD's will offer quite a bit more off if you go into the city.

Taiwan and HK are similarly priced if you can get tax back in Taiwan.
