My watch just flipped at 30 sec. to midnight!

Hey all,
Just happened to be looking at my watch right before midnight and at 30 sec. to midnight my watch changed date from the 15th to the 16th. First time I have seen my one of my watches flip the date without changing it on purpose. Kind of cool. You could feel the flip as it happened. I was wondering when it would go if close to midnight. The watch is a new purchase a Tudor 76100 series 1984.
Just thought I would share a cool moment with you all!

Aloha,
Tom

Myself hopefully fast a sleep before midnight at now a mature age,and as long as date changes by next morning that's fine for me.Some change date a few second before, some a few seconds after, that's on all mechanical watches. But my priority at the moment is that everyday I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I've stayed alive.Aloha Peter

When I'm up late reading, I get a peculiar moment of inner satisfaction when the click of the date change is heard above the tranquility of the night.

Only people on this forum would even remotely understand what I mean..... Aloha Tom!

Haha. I was thinking the same thing. It's fun to see the date change. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that most people would find that silly.

I've seen my DateJust change once. It's worth seeing once just to see a watch that changes instantaneously after having many watches that change over a period of hours.

I'm often asleep by midnight, but not always, but most of the time when I'm actually wearing the DateJust, I'm preoccupied with something else when I'm awake at the witching hour.

Hey Tim,
Yes it was a little crazy I looked down at my watch and it was like 11:59 plus and I thought ok I am going to see when she flips. Like you said only us WIS could get excited over a watching a watch date change over. I am sure if I told my co workers this story they would think I was either crazy and just plan lame!

Aloha guys!
