The Little Master's last game.

Sachin Tendulka played his last match yesterday before retiring, 200 test matches and a 100 centuries, a global sportsman that played the game in true spirit. When this man went in to bat many, many people fasted and prayed that he would do well. For his last match, 19 million people applied for tickets and crashed the web site. watching this man play cricket over the years has given me great pleasure.

A true sportsman who played without controversy, the best batsman I have ever seen.

Bombay was going crazy last week. Everyone was out to support Sachin. He is an institution here.

I have total respect for this wonderful person, he was a great sportsman but also a great and nice man. The cricketing world will be missing him.

Indian cricket will be poorer for his retirement, more as a gentlemen of the game than merely his amazing cricket talent.

Of all the people in the world who have trouble going outdoors and taking a walk because they got too famous and too inundated, Tendulkar might have the most trouble. Next to him, George Clooney might feel lonely. Katy Perry might feel freer. Factor in all humanity, and there's a chance Tendulkar might have just announced the most momentous sports retirement of our lifetimes.

Yep respected by more than 2,000,000,000 in at least 20 countries, rich and poor, advanced and developing. My mate and I sat transfixed in a bar in Sydney watching each ball of his last innings, not much more need be said.

I agree, watching this man play cricket through the years has given me so much pleasure. He was also the first overseas player to play for Yorkshire (My home county).

It's OK not to have heard of the guy. But to say "all 3 people" is being deliberately provocative and disrespectful.

Sometimes, it's better just to say nothing at all.

As an honorary Yorkshireman I share your pride.
