Advice sought about upgrading my 1st Rolex

My first Rolex was the Sub C no date 114060 purchased at an AD in December of last year. This was my daily wearer and I absolutely loved it until about a month ago when I picked up the new Sunburst TT Sub.That watch sang so loud to me so much that after trying it on at the AD I made arrangements to meet one of our most trusted sellers the very next day.
Having always been a bit of a gold bug I really prefer to prefer the TT much more than the SS,also having the only two watches in my rotation both being subs feels somewhat redundant so I am considering upgrading to the GMT-Master 2 TT.Since I don't have 9K more after just dropping over 10K on the Sunburst a move would be contingent on flipping the 114060.So my question to the community is twofold,It seems the trade in value is about $500+ less than the similar watches are being sold for here.Would it be possible for a fairly new member with the only reference being a smooth buy to sell on the forum for a normal market price? Also what do you think about the considered move?Any input would appreciated.

Mhhh... I think that if you considered the 114060 redundant to a SubC TT, then a GMT-Master TT would be even more redundant in some respects.

Personally, I would suggest you to hold on for a while and then perhaps consider something a bit different. A DJ for instance?

Can't comment on the selling part.

I just took a look at the DJ.Without trying it on just from pictures it doesn't look like it would go as well with my mostly casual attire.Appreciate the input very much though. Please keep the feedback coming.

Once you settle on the watch you want, you might do a trade for it with a trusted seller here using your 114060.

I think you could have a long wait selling your watch at the full value you expect with thin references. Just my 2¢

I think from the sales point, a buyer would rather pay a couple hundred dollars more and deal with one of the TRF sellers. Trade it with a seller would be your best move.

Insofar as a seller with few transactions, everyone had to start somewhere. I see no reason why you couldn't fetch a fair price if you describe and photograph the watch sufficiently to reassure any prospective buyer.

I understand the advice of most advising a trade in.I imagine without being able to see the content of my character, but rather only post count and history here I too would be reluctant to buy from myself.I really appreciate the encouragement! I suppose I could give it a try. What do I have to lose but a little time while I could gain considerable extra $$ for the GMT and grow trust here.

If you want to try and sell it privately here then I suggest you sell it at a slightly lower price than the trusted sellers to give you a chance. If that fails then trade yours with a trusted seller.
