Well I'm absolutely gutted....
Well guys, this isn't a nice post
Myself and Andrea returned home yesterday after getting some jabs done for our holiday next week, to find the front door of our home smashed through. Low & behold, my beloved Bluesy has been taken, along with my older and non expensive dress watches. They also found the box and papers for Bluesy, and also the paper and box for my Pepsi GMT (which I was wearing). So I now have an incomplete GMT II. Laptop also gone with all our holiday photo's etc on (they weren't backed up) + Andrea's jewellery, 2 mobiles, and a few other bits. I've reported it to Rolex, and will put the serial number up here shortly. A sad day.

I can't believe it, St Albans is a nice area to. Here's hoping they are caught. Will keep eyes open.
I'm so sorry, just before your break (Although no times a good time) All I can say is, at least no-one was hurt. All the very best

Dan: What a shame. Having your 'stuff' stolen is one level; having your privacy invaded is another. Glad you have insurance, and on the 'suspect', I think a nice visit from the local police detective will at least put him or her on notice that they've been noticed, and will give them visibility with the police.
best, dan |

Dan, that really sucks.
That is why I only keep ONE watch at home at any one time, and it's usually on my wrist. At least you are insured, so not all is lost. A real pity about B&P's for the GMT. I truely hope you get a good result from this. John. |

Sorry to hear about that, Dan! You have my deepest sympathy!
I hope that you were at least well insured? But it must be an awful feeling to know that strangers have broken into your home.

Dan, sorry to hear the sad news, it must be everybodys worst fear.
I too hope that the insurance company pays out quickly, so that you can start the research and the hunt for a replacement. |

Oh, dear. How awful. And this just days after we had the thread about insurance, and how to protect valuables, and how thieves know where to look and what to take....
I am so sorry for you. |

Dan,
The important thing is you and your better half are safe. You have insurance and can replace Bluesey. The bright side, if there is one, is that you now get to participate in the "HUNT" for Bluesey's replacement. Please keep us informed.

That's awful news Dan! I'm sorry to hear that. We were once victims of a similar incident, somebody smashed the window of our SUV and grabbed our golf bags and camera. It was the first and last time we would leave something valuable in our vehicle, we had never felt so violated in our life. We were just visiting the area. I hope things turn out well for you and Andrea.

I don't think I'll be 'choosing' another Rolex, I would think that they will eventually just replace Bluesy. Hey maybe it'll be an M series with CRB so a touch different. My policy states new for old - so fingers are crossed it gets sorted.
Thanks for your support guys - much appreciated and needed !! I think worse than all of it, is the muddy footprints of an intruder on my cream carpets - just a reminder that some low life SCUM has been in MY home. Just horrid.
