Age and Experience

An old Doberman was having fun chasing rabbits through the wood when he realised that he was lost. He wandered back and forth giving worried yaps but could not see or hear anything that looked familiar.

Suddenly he became aware of movement ahead and he saw a Cougar approaching with a look of I'm-going-to-have-a-dog-for-lunch about it. Thinking on his feet he saw to one side a pile of bones, the remains of a long dead animal.

He pounced on the bones and said in a loud voice, "mmm-mmm, that was the best tasting Cougar that I've ever had". Upon hearing this the Cougar quickly slunk away.

Now, up in the trees a squirrel had been watching this episode with interest and hopped down to ground level, confronted the Cougar and explained how he's been had over.

"Right" said the Cougar, "hop on my back and we'll go back to that critter and I'll show you what happens to a dog who tries it on with a cat".

So the squirrel hopped onto the Cougar's back and the two of them made their way back to the little clearing in the woods.

As they appeared in the clearing the Doberman spotted them and once again, thinking on his feet said in a big loud voice "where's that squirrel got to?

I told him an hour ago to go and fetch me another Cougar 'cos I'm still hungry".

The moral of this tale is:
Don't mess with old dogs...
Age and treachery will always overcome youth and exuberance...
Bullshit and brilliance only comes with age and experience...
