If Money was No Object
If you walk into a Rolex store, and had to choose 5 Rolexes to take home with you. Let's dream a bit, which ones would you choose?
Of course I would choose them all in precious metals, in short they would be... |

1) WG Sub-C 2) YG GMT IIC (black dial) 3) YG Daytona (for the wife) 4) Pt DDII (black on black dial) 5) Pt Daytona It would be difficult to pick a watch to wear the next day though

I have already 4 out of 5. None of them to be found at an AD nowadays though. The 5th one would be Platinum Day Date probably.

I only want one solid gold Rolex, a gold sub. If I had money for a second luxury watch it would not be a Rolex, it would be a Jaeger Lecoultre with a marche reserve or moonphase. I like Rolex but don't need more than one. I like cars and traveling and having lots of fun.

Ahhh, the heavy metal five! WG SubC and YG DD are first to go on the list. Picking a dial would be a challenge for the President. WG Daytona with silver dial/black subdials is next on the list: the current rendition of the Paul Newman. YG GMT has always caught my eye, so that makes number four. I would need a platinum example to round out the top five, and I would have to try on every Plat in the AD. If I have to decide now, then the Daytona gets the nod...dials and bezels TBD.
Happy New Year to all! |
