Need help w/ a UAE dial Datejust on eBay

I've seen some information about the Oman dials but not much on this particular dial. I know the Middle Eastern dials are popular with fakers.

Link to eBay posting

My 2 questions:
1) The number seems too high -- I've read these type should be in the 3 million range. Is this true? Is this a fake?
2) What is the market like for these dials? What do they cost?

Thanks, long time lurker

Welcome to the forum.
I am a Rolex logo dial collector. To me, this watch seems perfectly fine, the logo is genuine and the serial is within rang. UAE Rolex production ranges from the early 70's to the early 2000s.
This one is from the late 70s on an early 16030. As for as the market, it depends on the demand. A UAE dial will cost you about $800.
Good luck!

Logo dials

That looks correct. I know the seller. He's alright

These watches look amazing in real life. The pictures don't do it justice.

3 mil serial would be the 1603; the 16030 would be in the late 6 mis up on. That watch is a 16030.

There are just too many loose logo dials around so one can never know for sure if it originally came with that dial, unless it comes with the original papers.

***** BTW: Carl knows best ...........

Here's my 16030:

Never seen one in person - if I didn't have a queue in my watch box to get on my wrist I would snap one up!

Thanks for the quick responses! You guys are great.

To calculate the value of the watch should I just add $800 (price of the UAE dial) to a standard 16030? Bob's Watches lists they will purchase a 16030 for $1200, so should I assume $2000-2500 is fair for this watch?

@Lamone -- is there anywhere I can research all the different rare dials that exist? I haven't found a comprehensive resource.

@TurboWatch -- have you done business with the seller? Are you the seller?

He's in FL, and I am in CA.

He has purchased from me in the past.

BTW:

1. As far as "FAIR" value, do a quick search please. A complete B/P Date model of this one that was sold by a middle eastern seller on the Bay for $5K. Complete set are a bit hard to find.

2. Lamone has a good collection of loose dials, give him a ring. That is if you want a put-together watch
