He does indeed, he also has a Patek Philippe with a perpetual calendar, something that was offered to him in 1943 by President Roosevelt.

In a recently released documentary of a lecture he gave in NYC in 2010, it looks like he's wearing an ALS.

I had the great privilege of meeting the Dalai Lama a couple of times in 1989 when I lived within a stone's throw of his compound in Dharamsala. Can't remember anything about the watch he was wearing though. A fine man.
