Icon20 Rolex - Toronto, ON Auth. Dealers?

Hello there!

This is Remy, from the Bronx NY zoo! This is my first post on this forum!

I will be visiting Toronto (ON, Canada) for about a week during February, do you guys know a good/honest dealer in that area? I'd like to purchase a 116334.

How much a NIB 116334 sells for these days?

Thanks!

Hi Remy, welcome to the forum where you will find amazing camaraderie and amazing watches. Where are you staying? If you are in the downtown area there are two huge AD's for your convenience.

Royal de Versaille Jewellers - 101 Bloor Street W.

Rafi Jewellers - Yorkdale shopping centre.

There's another one slightly west end of Toronto.

Humbertown Jewellers - 270 The Kingsway

There are 2 other AD's but slightly outside of the downtown area. Between those three above you will find anything and everything and will receive impeccable service. Good luck!

Definitely worth shopping in TO especially with the relatively strong USD.

Just picked up a Polar EXP II at a good price from LA DIFFÉRENCE TIME CENTRE up at HWY 7.

I hope you enjoy my city! It is alot of fun and the women are beautiful ;) I would refer you to Raffi Jeweler, I bought my first Rolex there a BLNR and the service is amazing! I hope you can find your watch. Only downside to shopping for a watch in Canada is our 13% HST tax.

Seconded. I've been to pretty much all the AD's in the GTA and Raffi is my favourite. Great service and very accommodating.

They're in Yorkdale Mall too, so if you're staying downtown - just hop on a subway going northbound on the University line and the Yorkdale stop will drop you off (literally) next to the mall. You won't even have to walk outside in the frigid cold as there's a tunnel going right into the mall!

I just bought my 116334 from Damiani a few months ago. If you pay cash you can get 25% off retail price, but a bit out of the way from the downtown core.
Enjoy our city!

I was in there today as I'm looking for my first Rolex and the woman working there made me feel so unwelcome. I've never felt that way in any business I've walked into. It was so bad that I almost got turned off from Rolex completely. She had this underlying chill that would make this deep freeze thaw. I was asking about the SS Daytona with a black dial and she gave me a head to toe check than said I'd have to leave a deposit if I was interested in one because she doesn't have any right now. This all happened while she was constantly rifling through some papers. She would only look up if I pointed to a specific model and then she would continue with her nose to the counter. Not once did she offer to let me try one on. When I'm ready to make my purchase I'm definitely not going there.

On the contrary I went to Humbertown Jewellers a few days ago and the sales associate there immediately brought me a SubC when I asked about it. After a few minutes of discussion he offered me a Rolex catalog and his card. That's more like it!

I've bought 3 rolex from Raffi before. Can you describe how the woman looks like? Most of the staff there are professional and friendly, but I can think of a few like how you described.

Yes X 2

I just purchased a DJ 2 there before Christmas and I've been there many times before. Very friendly and accommodating staff!

I can personally. Vouch for the owner Vahee, who's family own the store and 2 others.... he will bend over backwards to help anyone

Wow, that's a substantial discount and unheard of even by cash. But good for you.

I think I've met the owner last year when I was on a quest to get my (now) fiancé an engagement ring. The woman I was dealing with was (I'm not sure how to phrase it correctly) Asian Oriental. Anyway, after leaving there I went to look at the Omega display at European Jewellers in the mall, which is my second choice for my first luxury watch. But so far I am leaning towards a Rolex.

I may go in again at a later date as I'm sure the service there is like many others have described.

I'll have to post a dissenting view Humbertown. Spoke with the owner (Ferit) and was treated very rudely while negotiating a price on a watch. I'd rather pay full retail elsewhere than give them any of my money.

I think I know who you're talking about and not surprised as she was kinda cold with me as well. If you go back, ask for Rana. I've dealt with her for both of my watch purchases and she was very friendly and helpful as I went in many times trying to figure out what to buy.

As an aside, there are a lot of good omega dealers in Toronto but EJ is not one of them. They're very shady and I've read lots of horror stories. Google European jewelers yorkdale to see some of them.

I've been to Damiani's to buy my SubC and was treated very well there. No pressure. Also got a fair price paying cash.

Yea, it was 25% after taxes so paid under 8 for a new DJII

I have bought a few pieces at Damiani previously but am sure you can get the same deal if you offer Cash

Im pretty surprised at the treatment you got at Raffi. I bought my DJ there over the summer and when I got my Sub..I went there for sizing and they did it even congratulated me on my find which was an older model they couldn't get. I think there is good pricing at La Difference but its rather unnerving in a small shop having 4 pairs of eyes staring at you while you try on the watches, each looking for some kind of reaction from you. Damiani is good cause they have a watch service dept in the store itself. Just be aggressive with them and tell them what you find. They will price match in most cases. Humbertown was by far the worst treatment I got. I won't go back. They were under renovations when I went and the owner was very rude and abrupt. I suppose one who goes there should know exactly what they want. ;-) And they're pricing wasn't that special.

I guess it boils down to personalities. We all will have better reactions with some more than others. And the ones we have the best ones with, we go back to.

As for Omega, Raffi at Oakville Place carries them and Finch Centre Jewelers in Woodbridge carries them. I have bought a few from Finch West…Saleslady Rita and owner is Rob.

+1 for Raffi Yorkdale. First time I went in, I thought they might be snobby, but Rana and Vahee were awesome to deal with. I bought a Tag Silverstone from them recently (I've been looking forever for one), and they both spent a huge amount of time with me. I'll definitely buy from them again.

Just to add, I stopped by Raffi (Yorkdale) today and they were very accommodating. Andrew was a pleasure to deal with - he willingly showed me all the watches I was interested in, and he certainly knows his stuff. We chatted for a good hour.
