My "modded" 16570
As as far mods go, this is pretty minor but I absolutely love it. I fall into the group of owners who prefer the "sans cyclops" look.
Sourced an Oyster service crystal and had it installed, with the original cyclops crystal set aside for safe keeping if I ever want to revert it back to its original state. No solvents, blow torches or other manoeuvres that would scare the pants off me to try. 16570 "stealth mode": :D |

I am always happy to see a Rolex without the cyclops. Looks great, and is easily reversible

I'll probably be going that route with my Sub-C here soon.

I don't know; to me the cyclops seems part of the "Rolex" look.
Regardless, you did it the right way; no stress and easily reversible...

I love how that looks! It's all preference I guess, but I went with the 14060M because I prefer no cyclops. If you are a "cyclops=Rolex" guy, this is probably not for you.

I like it. Part is that I could care less if other people know I'm wearing a Rolex, and part is the restricted viewing angle that a cyclops necessitates. However, old eyes appreciate the magnification. I'm torn....

Love it!!! You say that you sourced a oyster service crystal. I am wondering what the service crystal was ment for? A 14060 maybe? I would like to do this myself. Please let me know.

Awesome! I'm not a cyclops fan, but mine has one.

Love it. I have an itch to do this to my 16610, but I am afraid it will make it look to much like my Sea Dweller.
