Red sub on the bay

What do you guys think? Late 3 mill serial with open 6's? Font and letter spacing doesn't look right to me either (could just be pic tho?). Opinions?

Red sub on the bay

How does a 3.8 million serial red sub have a (what looks to me at least) Mk 4 dial as its "original dial"?

No exact science to this...
Even if you look at the VRF dial archive the first red Mk-4 pictured is a near 3.8 serial...

Who knows... Maybe it came with it originally, maybe it was changed by a dealer early in its life, or maybe it was born a red/changed to white/and recently had a red dial added.
Unless buying from an original owner, there is no telling..
