Advice on buying the wife a Rolex on ebay?
Hi gang,
hoping for some advice. My wife wants a watch and wants the pink dial. Also likes the diamonds. Does not care about new so she found a bunch on Ebay. Here is one from a shop in California. 80s vintage with the dial redone. Remember her find not mine so I am not the cheap one on this choice which is a win for me : ) Is this a crazy buy or if she likes it is it a decent move? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-WATCH-...-/281232954522 Thanks for any thoughts in advance. Cheers Dave |

TRF isn't a shopping service and so you will need to decide if the price is one you are willing to pay for this watch..
. It is over 30 years old . Most everything that makes up value on a Rolex is aftermarket on this one. . Rolex will not service or work on a watch with aftermarket parts

Explain to your wife the differences between genuine and aftermarket parts. It's beneficial in the future.

I concur with Larry. Try sorting out the ones with aftermarket parts and stick with genuine Rolex. Good luck.
