Icon20 SURVEY - To all Sub-C and GMT-C owners

Did this on the AP subforum so I figured I should do it here too since I've had this issue myself on different watches.

If you've owned/own a Sub-C or a GMT-C (with the ceramic bezel), was/is your bezel ALIGNED?

Trying to gauge what % of bezels got to the end user being misaligned.

NOTE: You can pick more than one choice from the poll, this is for people that have more than 1 of these watches.

For me, I own 2 GMTs and one of them came misaligned. Own 2 Subs and same thing, one of them was misaligned. 50%.

My sub was misaligned. K serial 16610 - 2001.
It's at RSC now getting a full service and will be
the first thing I'm going to look at when it comes back.

Funny enough...... Most of the preloved Gmts ive seen at ADs are horribly misaligned. Whenever i say something they look at me like i have horns.

Crazy story... before I bought my YG GMTc I checked two out at Geary's in BH and both of them had the bezel misaligned. When I purchased mine through DavidSW I was praying it would be aligned... I guess I didn't pray hard enough.

I am confused. 16610 was a Sub-C?

Sorry for dumb question but what does it mean for a bezel to be misaligned?

Bezel marker pointed right at midnight on the dial, in line with the 60 second mark.

I guess I just don't see how a rotating bezel can be misaligned. Just rotate it until it is aligned. Unless I'm missing something. I'm learning.

Yep on both Sub C's I've had Try looking up at your your watch when it's on your wrist from 6 o'clock to 12 and see if it lines up that way

When I bought my sub I made sure it was all set perfectly. 9k is too much to spend for a flaw

I almost bought a 116613, and did not due to the bezel being misaligned. It lost the AD a sale as I bought YG model while OS on business instead. Kinda glad it happened, saved me a flip. 116618 was perfectly aligned.
