Tried using an LED light shining at 12 to 6 o'clock on the dial (in a dimly lit room)?

Shine a bright light on it. Also, you may want to tilt it left to right. It's there.

On a non-date watch the lec isn't always at the 6 o clock position. Could be anywhere 'round the crystal.

Easiest way to see it is with a loupe that has a built-in LED...if you don't own one already they are pretty inexpensive on ebay.

Shining a light while using the loop was the ticket. Thanks for you speedy replies!

It took me 3-4 tries before I found mine. It is very hard to see, even with an 8x loupe and moving the light at various angles. Hint: Clean the crystal well before attempting.
