more suspected fraud on ebay Australia

hi again
clearly i haven't much to do tonight.

here is the ebay listing

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rolex-sub...75312e8&_uhb=1

5 previous transactions so not a great start i guess. note NO CASH PICKUP! (because they don't have the watch i guess).

here is what you find when you do an image search.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-Submar...item19e815deae

same watch being sold from japan.

i guess like fakes wouldn't want to discuss why it's easy to pick. but it sure is. that said i learned the hard way. got done a few months ago. didn't lose any money, eventually, but almost. took me ages to realise they didn't have the beautiful GMT pepsi at all. just photo's nicked from someone else.

ebay is a pretty rough place compared to trusted sellers on the forum is what i say.

Why Australia (and seemingly so many) all with a rush one has to ask?
Good sleuthing for your part, certainly the user name seems suss.

These fake listings make the real ones harder to pick and even more difficult when time arrives to pull the trigger and pay up.

Due diligence and buying the seller has always been a big part of this.
CAN be done on ebay, even in Australia.
A phone call to the seller prior can be a help, ebays rules effectively prevent this.

Trusted sellers here make the process of ebay seem like you're the smallest one in the scrum and hey, who's actually got the ball whilst someone has their boot in mine!

Cheers,
Richard
