Watch brush recommendation?
Hey guys,
Just wondering what recommendations do you have for a brush/tooth brush to clean your Rolex watches? I currently own a Sub C and I'm wondering do I need a really soft brush and where can I get one ? Thanks ! Monaldo88 116610LN |

I use a basic soft toothbrush with hand soap. Then it gets wiped down with a microfiber cloth. This is done every month.

I currently use a soft toothbrush but I have recently started using Veraet products because I think they make a very noticeable difference when I clean my watch. With my next order from them I intend to order their watch brush as well as my foo-foo sprays and watch drying cloths! Yeah, I know, I spoil my watch but for the moment it's the only Rolex I own and it gets all my attention!

Look there is not need for special brushes, cloths, soap, shampoo or any other Foo Foo product. S.Steel being one of the hardest and toughest materials on this planet its doubtful that if any brush that will not harm your teeth or yourself will harm a Rolex watch.

If you're exposing your piece to substantial dirt maybe a soft brush is necessary, but if you're not, just some soap and warm water usually does the trick. We have Dr. Bronner's body soap which I think works really well. You can clean your body while you clean your piece at the same time. Works really well.

I use a soft bristled toothbrush for my watches. I get the cheapest one and use it only on the brushed portions of the watchcase and bracelet.
On the polished sections of the watch, I just use my fingers to wipe off the dirt and smudges. I use Palmolive dishsoap with warm water in a plastic saladbowl and first saturate the watch in the soapy water, then use the toothbrush on the brushed parts of the watch, followed with my fingers on the rest. Then I just rinse the watch under running water, pat dry with a towel, let it sit for a couple minute on the towel, and then use a microfibre cloth for sunglasses to dry the rest of it up and polish it. My advise it to not use any brush at all on the polished sections of the watch. It will put swirls into the polished finish. |

To tell you the truth since I bought my first Rolex 47 years ago ?
I never bothered about "cleaning" my Rolex watches - other than getting rid of fingerprints on the crystal by simply wiping the damn thing on my shirt. When my watches will get full of scracthes etc. I'd give it to my buddy who is a "polishing engineer" at Rolex - and he would make it look brand new again. |

Soft toothbrush and water. Every now and then I spray on the Verat juice.
Does seem to make it extra clean and shiny. |

I have the soft brush from veraet but I'm not a fan. I think it's way to soft to really do anything. Soft tooth brush and you're good to go. The watch spray on the other hand is amazing.

SOFT toothbrush over the counter, the cheaper the better, with Dawn soap and warm water.
Then use Veraet watch spray and rinse that off too. |

Ultrasonic bath ~ x2/year for the bracelet is also a good idea to help reduce bracelet stretch. Toothbrush and soap/Varaet isn't going to get out what the ultrasonic will.

Agreed. I think an ultrasonic cleaner is the way to go. There are some very inexpensive ones on amazon (less than $25) with tons of great reviews. I am going to buy one.
