Met a TRF'er
Met a fellow TRF'er while at the RSC in NY today. Dan (unclesallie) is a really nice guy. We just started chatting while paying for our purchases and he mentioned that I should look for an SD on TRF. I said I was a member. Just thought I would share.
If anyone is interested, they only charged $30 apiece for D style SS links and nothing to put them on the watch. Kris |

Great story Kris!
Question - what all can you do at NY RSC? I live on Long Island and was wanting to stop by there but, didn't know what all you could do / purchase. Accessories? Do they have anything to view on display? Do you need an appt?

No appt necessary. I assume you can buy all sorts of links and possibly bracelets. They do have leather bands for sale, but they are pricey. $120-$200 plus $50 for a SS buckle. As fast as I wear out even top quality leather, it is not worth the money to me. I will probably just get a Hirsch deployant. They have a few bling watches on display (5 + or -) including a YG Daytona with orange stones around the bezel, but do not sell watches as far as I know.

That's actually very reasonable for Rolex. I called the Toronto RSC last year to ask whether a replacement strap was available for Nancy's Cellini. Yep, $425 without the buckle!

I was actually at the RSC in New York Yesterday around 1-2pm. I had to get my TT M Daytona link screw replaced because it was warped and petruding, scratching the underside of my clasp. In the display case I saw the Leopard Daytona, the Rolex ICE watch, which is the president all iced out in diamonds. Also the yellow gold blinged out president with the green bullzeye dial with green markers was in the display case. No appt necessary, I just filled out a form and 25 mins later the women came back with my watch with the new screw. There were about 5-6 other people waiting for there watches. On a side note I had to take a massive leak, so the desk woman gave me the key to the bathroom, the bathroom was top notch, like I was in a 5 star restaruant bathroom, I don't know if it really matters, i'm just trying to give input on my RSC NYC experience.

Kris,
Cool story. I once talked to a fellow bass player about joining a music forum only to find out he was already a member and I've communicated with him online.

Kris:
Hey Buddy! Was great meeting you. Am terrible at names, and should have written everything down. We should all get together in NY and wonder around to various rolex dealers(including the bad boys in the diamond district), not buy a thing, and then have a party! best, dan |

I am up for it whenever you guys are. I want to show off my new SD to someone who cares. My wife is singularly unimpressed!
