So, I've had my GMTIIc shipped from Indiana on Friday afternoon to NY. Been 4 days now and they said 2-3.

Getting a bit concerned.

It's about a 1000 mile distance.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Is this normal time for registered with all the stamps?

USPS registered is a bit slow from what i've heard but it's the safest cause every person that handles the watch has to sign a paper.

As Registered mail it has to be signed for at every stop. I just used this form of shipment to go 60 miles from the AD across the NY state line to my house and it took almost a week. My tracking number was listed on the USPS web site as processed @ 4 pm and received @ 3 pm

It still said that the package was sitting in Newburgh, NY yet my postal carrier was attempting delivery at my house

I took the receipt down to the PO and had to sign several things as well as show my DL.

Bottom line...don't worry.

Man, shouldn't have paid extra for priority mail + registered then. Should've just did reg. parcel + registered.

Tracking is worthless with USPS.. Says ACCEPTED and that is it for now. Been 4 biz days and I think it's like 800-900 miles.

Will keep waiting...

USPS tracking is worthless. The only thing it is good for is after the fact investigating. But it is just not updated enough for useful info.

USPS Registered is the only way to go with something of value.It is slow but at least it will never get stolen like UPS.My hoppy is gun collecting and most collectors will ship USPS when they can.Takes forever as it is the last thing on the truck and first off,has to be signed for at each turnover but the only way to go.

USPS registered is slow, it took 5 days from Phoenix to San Francisco.

My Ad shipped registered mail from Dallas on Friday and it arrived in Oklahoma City on Monday.

USPS registered from Cali to Canada took about 7 days for me.

I'm not sure if there was a tracking number, but rest assured that it will be there safe and secure. DSJ also had a similar experience, but in the end, the watches showed up nice and secure.

That's not uncommon. Sending something via "Priority Registered" doesn't really buy you any speed in delivery unfortunately - honest postal employees will tell you that.

But, agree with all other posters - slow or not, Registered is the only way to go for ultimate peace of mind.

What's strange is Tourneau shipped it to my out of state address via UPS....

Surprised that they didn't use USPS. I assume they have their insurance cover it separate from the shipping.
