Scammer alert!
TRF Friends,
I learned yesterday that someone has attempted to assume my identity on the watch forums. He contacted a member of another forum offering him a Vacheron Constantin Historiques Americain - possibly in response to a WTB - identifying himself as Tom Ciesielski and using the email address "[email protected]." THIS IS NOT ME. So I wrote to him asking about his VC using an email account I have that does not use my name. He actually responded this morning with the message below. He says he is located in Sussex UK. As you can see, he's even using a link to a ref check on me from another forum from last year. I have no watches available for sale now and I'm not looking for anything, so please be cautious if you receive anything that pretends to be me. If anyone who has experienced this has any suggestions for me on anything else I can do to prevent anyone from being scammed using my name, please let me know via PM right away. Many thanks. The Real Tom Ciesielski (From me to scammer yesterday) Tell me more about your VC. Where are you located? Please provide some references. Thank you. T Carpenter Mar 1 at 9:07 PM (Scammer to me this morning) Tom Ciesielski To Me Today at 1:14 AM The VC is a MINT condition, It's has no Scratches, Dents or Dings. The watch works perfectly and keeps to time. Am located in Sussex, UK. Here are some refs of me http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php...o=660606&rid=0 http://www.network54.com/Forum/35339...+%28ctomsee%29 Thanks Tom |

It is best to contact the username of the seller straight from the forum always to confirm. Thank you for the heads up.

I have also been contacted by this member/e-mail [email protected] regarding an IWC Big Pilot. His pricing and e-mail seemed sketchy, so I did a quick search on his e-mail which lead to this thread.
