About Anthony Quinn:

Anthony Quinn was a Mexican American actor, as well as a painter and a writer. He starred in numerous commercially successful films, including Zorba the Greek, Lawrence of Arabia, The Guns of Navarone, The Message, Guns for Sebastian, Lion of the Desert, and La Strada. He won the Academy award for Best Supporting Actor twice: for Viva Zapatal in 1952 and Lust for Life in 1956.

Mr. Quinn was born and raised under unrest in Chihuahua, Mexico. At the age of nine, his creative vision and spirit led him into creating art pieces - sculptures, paintings, etc. He entered a statewide art competition in California and won it with his clay figure of Abraham Lincoln. Before he was 18, he has worked almost every scrape jobs - from migrant farm worker, to slaughterhouse butcher, and then a weight boxer . His harsh life gave him strength and persistent to work his way out of poverty and hunger.
