True Detective
Which model do you guys think this is?
I'm not sure if it is even a Sub or a copycat from another brand. Thoughts? |

I thought it was a Seiko or Citizen diver. But I couldn't ever really figure it out for sure.
Fantastic series! |

The plots on the dial are too big for a Sub.

Yes, now it's a much bigger blur, but at least the pixelation is worse.

And this is a watch forum and if you can't speculate here, where the heck can you???
Anyway, I think it's a Seiko diver variant, maybe slightly moded

I watched the season and thought the same thing, but after seeing more and more I don't think it's a sub

I think it's a Seiko as well. What a great show. I heard next season will have a whole new cast.

This looks similar.
I was surprised when some sites on the web were saying it's a sub as it didn't really strike me as something that would fit with Rust Cohle and the whole "nihilist" thing, then again maybe when nothing else matters to him except watches? |

Yes sorry, misread your post, we do agree!
I think you might have it, but that is an awfully cheap looking rubber strap to be on a a Grand Seiko...

FWIW, doesn't quite strike me as a Rolex. Great show though, and looking forward to the next installments!

I think we have a winner!
A friend of mine is in that, he's a detective in some of the squad room scenes.

I don't think it's the Lorus, as the hour hand seem to have the "Mercedes" form. Also, the watch seems to have a "bubble" over the date.
