Question about Crown release
I recently purchased a 116618 and have a question about the piece. Recently (it may have done this before, though perhaps I didn't notice) when I unscrew the crown to wind the movement, it does not fully extend into the winding position. I continue to turn it counter clockwise as if I was unscrewing it, though it doesn't pop all the way out to the point where the watch can be wound. The second I begin to turn it clockwise, it pops into the position.
Is there anything I should be worried about? It does not always do it however I want to make sure nothing is wrong. A few minutes ago I unscrewed and screwed it in a few times and it repeated and just recently I tried it and three times it popped into the proper winding position. Knowing very little about watch making, I figured I'd ask here. Just a fluke? Or if persists do I need to do something? Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks! PS- I had recently traveled with the piece on an airplane and didn't have to change the time when I arrived at my destination, didn't know if this would play a factor? Also, the watch is keeping perfect time and the crown moves freely and smoothly when in the desired position. |
