You Guys Are So Funny....

You. Yes, you! The ones trying to convince yourselves that the new SDC is not the watch you've been waiting years for! That it's not THE perfect watch for smart/casual or even actual diving! Stop deceiving yourself, it's everything you ever wanted in a dive watch - and it looks, just, so, damned, good!!!

It won't ever get cheaper, so forget the price, forget it comes off a huge mass production line of 1 million watches a year, just buy it!

You know you REALLY want to!!!

Just joking. Buy what you like, not what you think others would like to see on your wrist!

Great watch - but perhaps not for those who already own the Deepsea?

i dunno. it's pretty thick, especially the case back, and the straight lugs will surely have it fit strange on anything but very large wrists. the prior generation's curved ends was a better solution for the case back/overall thickness. i love the relative thinness of my 116610LV.

I guess so ...I was trying to figure out what the point was, and then remembered that it doesn't matter.

It was an attempt at humour, based on the number of people who seem to be having real crises in their lives about choosing someting as simple as a blooming watch.

It seems to be lost on many though...

I was basically set on getting the 16600 next since I never assumed this 116600 would be released - but now that is has, I believe that is the one I really want. I'd like to see them side by side and have the opportunity to try them both on, and pray I like th 16600 more.

As bad as I want the 11660, I feel like if I was going to save that much, I'd perhaps save a little more and get a 16600 and a 16710 Pepsi.

Aren't the lugs on the 116600 shorter than the Subc? in which case the case will wear smaller?
