Navy, Safari or Black Panda

Had a chance to view the new offshores 42mm live at the Singapore boutique and must say generally they are all really nice and its so hard to pick one. Was very keen on the all Grey but seeing this one live was a bit underwhelming very flat monotone even dull. The rose gold piece was gorgeous but it screams look at me! And heavy to wear. Narrowed down to the safari, navy and panda black and red .. Any advise out there? What are your thoughts as a second AP after the 40th anniversary jumbo?

Will see in person this weekend, but my guess is the black Panda.

Saw the collection myself yesterday at the NYC boutique. Just loved the Safari in person. The most striking outta the 3. My vote is for the Safari.

Navy... Tough to find a blue one as they only make that color on Platinum.

Loving the new Safari, that would be my pick.

No surprise here. Everyone has a different favourite. Personally, I liked the grey and I find it interesting that it underwhelmed you in person. I'll have to see it, to decide for myself. I don't think that you can go wrong with any of these, they are all fantastic variations. My choices are usually straight forward. Most of my clothes other than jeans are blacks and greys. I stick to variations of that theme.

Personal preference;

Safari
Navy
Black Panda

You can consider the ceramic diver, they have stock too.

I guess I'm ignorant but how can you call that a Panda dial?

I do like that one the best as I'm not real sold on the black ceramic pushers/crown against the blue of the Navy and the brown of the Safari - even though the Safari dial is my favorite - other than the RG of course...

I'm happy with my diver for the time being...

Out of the three, the black Panda for me. Best of the three. The red stitching on the strap is a real nice touch. The watch is very sporty looking and stay true to the ROO tradition.

The grey themes is actually quite nice, kind of more understated but elegant.

Actually, out of the whole bunch of new ROOs, I most disliked the new Rose Gold ROO. My opinion changes 180Deg after seeing it in new real life. A RG case wih a RG bezel is too "shouty" and probably impractical as it's going to pick up dings and scratches like no tomorrow. The dial color is also mismatched and off. AP should have come out with a 42mm version of the 2013 44mm RG Novelty. That would be a killer.

Not really bowled over by any of these 3, the old panda, safari or Diver would be my preference over these. Don't know why this new one is called a black panda, its just a black themes mark 2.

Hey guys new member here! Been lurking for a while as I'm in the market for my first AP. This forums been a big help.

I stopped by the NYC boutique yesterday to check out the new lineup. Got to try them all on and to be honest was not blown away by any of them. If I had to pick one it would be the black panda with the grey being the worst. I did also try on the ss diver and that was amazing! Absolutely loved the clean look of the dial and the way it reflected the light. The 15400 was also a winner and now the difficult choice of which one takes place.

Like the black one but the RG ROO is sweet! In all reality though I was going to get the new RG ROO and decided to get the newly retired RGRC instead...True classic IMHO. They are all nice though and taste clearly is subjective...So happy hunting!

I dont see why not. Can keep the 42mm pushers or modify to fit a 42mm case.

i'm not so impressed by the new ROOs from the pics i've seen. will reassess when i see them live.

out of all them i think navy looks best but i still prefer the black themes, panda, rubberclad, volcano and titanium from the previous line up...
