Pittsburgh

Hey gang.
So wife wants to head out for a few days near Pittsburgh to Grove City to do some shopping. I'm sure after a couple days of being a pack-mule for her and our daughter, we may want a change of scenery.
Any suggestions on some things to do in the Pittsburgh area with a 2 year old in tow? Any cool places to visit that may get her attention? Hotel suggestions are also welcome. Looking in early to mid June.

The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh is supposed to be one of the best children's museums in the country. Also the Duquesne Incline is really neat with incredible views of the city. Finally, a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game is always fun if they have a home game while you are there. Great stadium!

If you're headed to Grove City to shop, near Slippery Rock there is a place called the stone house I believe... If you are into history its a cool way to kill an hour. It was an old stagecoach stop back in the day from Erie to Pitt.

There is a nice family restaurant a few miles from the grove city outlets called Rachel's I would definitely recommend. A pirate game at pnc park, the Carnegie science center, and the rivers casino are all within walking distance of each other. There is a hotel right outside pnc park as well but I can't recall the name at the moment. Hope yinz enjoy your trip dahn tahn!

Save for the Rivers Casino, with the two year old, my brother from a different mother is right on!

Add in the Carnegie Museum in Oakland, with lots of eateries across the street on Craig Street, and the Pittsburgh Zoo and yunz got a wonder afternoon or two, n'at.

You gotta stop and have a sandwich at Primanti Brothers! As they say, if you're in Pittsburgh and don't go to Primanti Brothers, I just don't know what you're doing with your life...

My apologies. Rivers Casino would be out. There now is a Primanti bros at the grove city outlets I forgot to mention.

Thanks folks. Looks like we're also going to try the Pittsburgh Zoo. There's a kids week in mid June that might work out perfectly. She does love animals....

Dinosaurs, too, at the Carnegie Museum in Oakland buddy!

Unless things have changed since my kids were there 20 plus years ago.

Heck, the dinos were there when I was a tot about 50 years ago!
