Stolen: SS Rolex GMT master 11 serial#P523453

all,

our house was broken into and my yr.2000 GMT master 11 was stolen - stainless steel w/black face & bezel - if anyone comes into contact with my watch please contact seattle police - incident#2014-101015

*since our insurance will not cover the cost of replacement, i am currently looking for a GMT case to house an original GMT movement i have located. it will be a frankenstein but at least i will have a gMT on my wrist again.
any leads appreciated.

thanks

Sorry to hear about your loss. So are you going to be sourcing hands, dial, etc, also? Sounds like a long job.

Better to just buy another one. Franken's are more headache than they are worth.

It will be tough for someone to list it on here that stole it. You have to be a pledge member and even then they will have a hard time selling it with no references.

I am an addict so I look at every watch for sale every day and I will keep my eyes peeled.

I would go to the nearest Rolex AD and show them the police report and serial number.
If the watch is serviced one day at a Rolex AD you may have a chance to get it back (happen to me ).

That's terrible. Wish you luck. It'll probably be easier for you to buy a new one.

thanks everyone - they also stole my wife's datejust but unfortunately i never wrote down the serial# - along with the 2 rolex's they stole 2 rings that i designed for my wife.
i know its a long shot but here are photos of the stolen watches and rings i designed and had made by a local seattle jewler. the rings are of a unique design and i gave them to my wife for her 10th and 15th anniversary. fortunately her wedding ring which i also designed and had made was on her finger.

if anyone comes across these for sale/pawned/etc. please contact seattle police with the above incident#

regards from seattle

i have found a couple of 3185 movements for sale in the $1500 range - one is a 1998 model which is close to the yr 2000 i lost.

i figure if i can find a case for $1500, after purchasing hands/dial, i'd be into a GMT for $3500 since my jeweler has offered to build the watch for me at no charge.

worth a try

Horrible, pretty close to my exact one. My first one R serial. Bought in 2001 black bezel too

Hope you find it, I'd be crushed if that happened to me, even though I have it insured

Saying sorry doesn't even start to make you feel better.
Good luck, at least no one was home when I happened

i'm sorry this happened... thieves should be hung by their nutsacks in public for everyone to see. Will keep an eye out for the GMT to pop up on the radar, meanwhile, keep an eye on your local craigslist.

ah, right, sorry.
OP, go to Fox's as well as Porcello, they get many things brought in 'off the streets'. Let them know to keep an eye out.

Couldn't have said it better, or more eloquently, Greg!
