This should be in the Watchout! section.

I'm not an expert by any means, but rather than a cryptic word or two like 'dodgy' or 'watchout!' it would be helpful to the OP if those who recognize a problem watch could be more specific.

To my eye, the date in the window looks off. Other than that, I would not know.

Agreed. I'm not an expert on vintage Rolex, and it'd be nice to be educated, since I really don't see anything glaringly "dodgy" about it. It just looks like a 1680 to me.

I meant it should be in the WatchOut section, not Rolex General discussion. We have a section for identifying fakes. I too thought the date window was off, but if you look at the first picture, the whole date fits in the window so it must just be the camera angle.

I'm a newer member around here but that's one of the things I've noticed on this forum. People quickly throw out doubt about the authenticity of a watch but never say what it is that triggered their remark. Then sometime later someone comes along and shows that the watch is genuine. Meanwhile the OP has given up on a deal or dumped the watch.

So having said that; rather than throwing out some off the cuff comment, I won't comment on this one since I'll admit in public I'm not enough of an expert.

Fake, way too new looking and the ft after 660 is too far away

Need a crisp, clear shot of dial without hands obstructing any text. As you may know, there are subtle variations of this dial, so keep that in mind. Here's one for comparison (Mk IV feet first open six):

Looks ok to me. If that's a fake they did an amazing job. A few better pics would help, OP.
