They won't sell so well if they sound like the new F1 engines...

Me too... Mercedes is going to try this megaphone exhaust tip that might help, but I don't think it will, since it won't really change the frequency much. A damn tragedy if you ask me.

Absolutely! Did you see the film "Rush" last year? About Hunt and Lauda? The opening scene? That's how F1 is supposed to look and sound! What a great movie!

New Rolex Marketing?
Wonder if sellers on the secondary market will keep the bag of water for when they flip the watch?

That is an expensive way to backage and ship watches. Looks cool but seems pretty impractical.

Display yes. I will not want my watch to be packed in water when I buy it. Imagine it is in water for 5 years if it does not sell. Lol

Well, I hadn't thought of it previously but the seals probably won't dry out that way.

Soooo...how long is the watch actually in the bag of water? I hope this is something they do at the AD shortly before purchase or something. I don't care how waterproof it is...it isn't meant to live in the water for months or years...

Since Wilsdorf had a brilliant strategic marketing mind, he realized since human beings reasoned by analogy, if he showcased Rolex watches immersed in fishbowls, people would understand the real innovation the Rolex Oyster case offered, thus on November 9, 1922, Rolex patented an aquarium under Patent #52986, for showcasing fish swimming in the bowl with a submerged Rolex watch. The Rolex photo below from the late 1920s shows a beautiful woman with her Rolex immersed in a fishbowl, which made people really think when they saw the photo. And of course, there was Swayze and his famous Timex commercials.
