I just adore this watch

I know that many people hate it or start vomiting whenever they see it but honestly i really like it. Personally this is a very good looking watch but that's just me

I had the chance to see that and the white gold version in Hawaii. I thought the WG was a looker.

I agree Velitsko I really adore the watch too. I don't think its an ugly looking watch at all, its looks really good. Its definitely an excellent watch in terms on functionality and it really serves its purpose well with the regatta timer. Its excellent for timing Yachting races thats for sure.

I just prefer the white gold version, plus the bezel on that is platinum.

I've tried it on and it's definitely chunky! I'm still not crazy about it....the WG looks better IMO, though I honestly wouldn't buy either.

Frostie,

I tried one on last December when I bought my DD.

It was a classy number and exactly the same as the one you've posted.

It was also very, very heavy.

I liked it!

Neil.

I hear ya, Frostie. At first it seemed to be such a radical departure from the classic Rolex design, but now I really don't think it is ugly at all. I'm not sure if it would work for me, but I'm not opposed to it at all. However, I don't want all of the Rolex models to go that route

Nice bracelet and case. What is the bezel insert material on the YM II?

I've never tried one but i've seen one from close. It's definetely a chunky watch and as i said it will take some time for people to digest it's robust design and to get used to something different that rolex has made

Frostie,

It was very chunky and seemed to weigh twice that of the Day-Date. Yes, a big chunk of gold on your wrist, but a very distinctive, large and beautifully made watch.

Not to everybody's taste, perhaps, but the AD in Torquay, England was smitten by it!

Neil.

Ditto here. At first, I thought it silly looking. I've seen one in person, and while at this point I couldn't see myself wearing one, I like the symmetry of the dial, and the overall playfulness of the watch.

I think I read where the bezel on the WG is Platinum. Is that correct?

Definitely try it on, Frostie - you'll love it!

Although I doubt that 1 kidney will cover it - the one in Torquay was around £16,000!!

I think I had a lucky escape with the YG DD!
