Rolex and Bang & Olufsen

Show us your two passions! I think these two brands really are classics, and stand for quality and design. Any one out there a B&O fan?

Right on! I have been collecting B&O for 20 years, need more space in my house, at least with watches they take up less space!

Great that you have a B&O passion, but IMHO B&O appeals to the more 'lifestyle-oriented' consumer, similar to Nakamichi. From what I have seen on this forum, Rolex appeals in a somewhat different way to most people here.

I recently saw a post re. buying Patek's at Costco...one guy in a Patek forum was flabbergasted by this. IMHO you can sell Patek's beside 50 cent bulk cheese slices and the Patek's 'worth' would not be decreased.

Just IMHO...

Rolex & George Wright tube amplifiers

Rolex & Cycling

Denmark produces some VERY fine audio gear, Bo! Dynaudio, Gamut, and the now-defunct Electrocompaniet among them!

I love Bang and Olufsen, many of their products are so technologically advanced, whenever I go into their store, I'm always so impressed.

But I love Bose a lot too and have a 321 entertainment system in my home. So for me, its Rolex and Bose.

Bo,

Danish design, like B&O, are right up there with the great Italian designers like Pinafarina etc.

I have a Bose lifestyle entertainment system as well, great system but B&O just has that something special. I have a small collection of B&O items and that one in the picture is from the 1990's and if you were to step into a B&O store today you will see the exact unit unchanged cosmetically although the new ones have a hard drive for mp3's. Good design stands the test of time. Like the Rolex sub.
