1803 and 1016 beauty from 60s - your thoughts?
I have been looking for a black dial 1803 and a 1016 for a pretty long time, and these two are best ones I can find so far, they are all from late 60s I believe.
I would love to hear the opinions of the experts here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Both appears to be great and in fantastic condition, I'd buy both in a heartbeat if the price was right!

I'm no expert on either model but I can say for sure that both are stunning. Love the gilt print on the matte black dial on the day date. Very stealth like. Goodluck with the purchase.
Oh and the expy has some beautiful creamy patina. Classic watch |

1016 looks awesome. 1803 looks good but I'm a big fan of getting the original bracelet. What's the asking price on both? B&P?

If I was to choose one out of the two it would be the 1016.

We need to know more details about each (e.g. SNs) and photos of the inner case backs and movements would be desirable. Also, those end links on the 1016's 7836 (I think) bracelet appear to be aftermarket and don't fit well. Should be 280 or 258 end links. And there's a lot of stretch in that bracelet. Just saying.

I love that 1601 dial. So simple and clean. Lovely. The DD isn't bad either

Can't comment on the other but the dd is nice. Not a fan of the leather though. With the president bracelet it would look stunning. The black dial is not rare but not very common though. Nice find.

the 1016 are probably more common than this dd dial. I would rather get this dd and get the 1016 non gilt later.
