Fighting the addiction

I found myself walking into the Rolex AD this afternoon on my way home. I saw this and I still don't know how I walked home empty handed. The price was right, it was all set. But cooler heads prevailed and I remembered I'm trying to thin the herd a bit and that I have my very much loved and recently serviced 16600 at home waiting to be worn.

It is sooooo pretty though. It'll haunt my dreams, I know it.

Looks damn good!
Been wondering if I will resist or give in once I see one.

Yep. Hence the dilemma, having this one already.

I must say, the bracelet, the ceramic, everything feels and looks just right on the SDc. I bet that if I decide to go get it, it will be gone. The AD claimed to have only one specimen in stock.

I only feel regret when I walk away from watches that are hard to find again. At least you can pick that one up any time if the going gets tough.

They'll make more. The SDC will be in the catalog for the next twenty years.

Personally I'd rather have the one you've already got.

Oh, that does look nice. I am impressed that you showed restraint by not making the purchase.

I have the 16600 also and I'm really trying to resist the urges of getting the SD-C. Thanks for the pic.

I've only ever paid cash for watches... and I'm 4 months away from having enough in my watch fund to get the EXP II at the AD or 3 months if I get through a TRF reseller. My AD is offering a 12 month interest free credit card through the end of June. Its killing me.

As you can imagine, 3-4 months in an eternity in watch years.

Succumb, give-in, stop fighting it!! You know you want it, make it happen. Be the spineless jellyfish I want you to be so I can live vicariously through you since if I pull the trigger my wife's divorce lawyer will be on speed-dial shortly there after...

It really looks great on you. This is by far the best wrist shot I've seen.

Yea, it's a great Rolex at a great price, it's beautiful and everyone at TRF thinks the matte dial is rather spectacular - BUT do you really want another one of these things? Another watch... Really?
