My Sunburst Dial TT arrived!!
After selling my TT Black dial submariner around a month ago, I have been buying and selling watches looking for the replacement that "speaks" to me.
Wouldn't you know where I would end up? Love the Sunburst. Reminds me of my 2004 "bluesy" with all of the advantages of the para chrome blue mainspring and adjustable clasp. And a big Thank You to David Sylvestre Williams. DAVIDSW on jumping over table tops and blasting through doors to get this to me on my Birthday! Thanks, David! |

Great watch my friend but I am not a lover of the Sunburst as I like the flat blue. One of the best looking watches Rolex make.

That is the one I need to add to the collection that dial is so beautiful it's hypnotic to look at

Here are some of the photos that I saw before buying
These are from DavidSW's advertisement here on Rolex Forums.
The bezel is slightly darker than the Smurf bezel on the white gold version, and the dial is a maxi-dial version of the old bluesy. I can certainly understand those who prefer the Smurf, as it is beautiful, and I almost bought that instead. But something about the way light plays off this dial makes me feel that over the long run this will remain a fascinating watch to look at. I particularly enjoyed the semi-AD experience of peeling off the protective plastics, and sizing the bracelet for the first time. Getting a new watch at a savings is its own sort of Birthday gift. I probably could have saved myself a lot more money if I hadn't sold my 2010 TT Black dialed Submariner, and gone through several other watches before coming back to the Submariner. I think I may finally have gotten the message. I like the Submariner! Thanks for the kind Birthday wishes. And thanks to all of you who posted wrist photos of your Smurfs and Sunbursts so that I could get a good idea of which I preferred and why. Very helpful . |
