I agree that price is VERY optimistic, however its been said that the PN's will hit US$200k by years end.

I understand selling at that price. Buying at that price....................that's another question.

The seller has a DJ for sale too - in that listing they describe themselves as 'lenders of last resort'.
Maybe not people you argue with about the price?!! |

These are very good looking watches - I love them but, think of what else you could buy. I could get 19 GMTIIcs
14 MSRP Daytonas...

Wow--that is an amazing price. Still, I am guessing he is a knowledgible guy so it will be interesting to see if anyone is interested. I assume Rolex was using the El Primero Chronograph movement from Zenith at that time.

Well as to the Ebay guy being Knowledgeable I would doubt it,otherwise he would know its not a true Newman Very greedy perhaps and not worth anyway near the price he quotes . And regarding movements at this time Rolex was using a ETA Valjoux 72 series in models from late 60s to the introduction of the Zenith around 1988. Rolex have before used ETA Valjoux various movements in most of there chronographs since the 1940s.The one from ebay is quite a bit later looks like a 6265 from late 70s-80s.

Its not for me.
I'm going to visit an AD this weekend, who has got in stock a GMT II "ICE" at a very cooool £256,500 I hope to have the opportunity to try it on, as that will probably be the nearest that I get to wearing a watch that costs, that much.
