Make sure you try it on. I love the DD2 but it isn't as adjustable as the 116718.

Hmm...tough one. Those are two yummy specimens to be sure. I guess it all depends on what function you see that gold watch filling in your life. Do you want something a little dressier or sportier? What kind of clothes do you wear and activities would you do wearing this watch?

I like the 116718 more. The gold GMTIIC is simply my favorite YG Rolex.

I would make the trade and acquire the DDII. Although most forum members would disagree with me, I'm not a fan of gold tool watches.

My favorite DD2 combo. But with that saying I would never trade my 116718.
So my answer would be NO.

To add....
I also have planned to finish of my Rolex collection when I turn 50 with the DD or DD2. And unless I come into a lot of money.... I will be sticking to that idea.

Lots of black faced watches out there, but that DDII is pretty special. I would go for it.

Such a hard call IMO.

The DD2 is tops in my book.

But the gmt is pretty damned close. I might make an even swap, but I don't think I'd put money into that trade.

I'm not even sure I'd do it even. I'd miss the gmt too much.

I love my DDII and also have a YG Sub and the watches wear very different. The Sub has the glide lock and in warm weather comes in very handy. The only way to adjust the DDII is by adding or removing links. Not a big deal depending how you wear your watch. With that said if I only had one it would be the DDII.

I plan to have both so not sure I could choose one. I would save hard and add rather than replace.

Tough call. For me it would depend on what I already have in the collection. Based on what I have I'd go for the DDII.

Wouldn't the SkD and DD2 overlap a little?

Well in that case I would flip the SKD for the DD2. Your GMT/BLNR will give you all the secondary time zone action you will ever need.

Agree with Larry flip the SkyD for the DD2, or the YM and BLNR.
