Does Ebay actually care?

Added this
(http://www.ebay.com/itm/231263026646...84.m1423.l2649)

to my watch list hours after it was listed too keep an eye on it. I didn't truly believe anyone would fall for this, Especially at a BIN of $3600 (to good to be true). Sure enough the bidding started on what were deff. shill bids, so I reported it with the obvious descriptions as to why. I feel bad thinking someone who doesn't know better is going to get burned. Never get a response from ebay, and the few times I've reported something, the bidding just continues. This time over $1000 more than the BIN was.
My question is do they really care? And is time better spent reporting here, as opposed to ebay?

It is hard to have sympathy for someone who buys a luxury watch off flea bay. I know I should feel bad for them, but jeez, just some basic research would lead you to sites like TRF.

Cheap Chinese 3135 copy. There are a number of ways to tell...this one has ALL of them!

Regulated balance that is :)

I agree that 2nd hand luxury items should be well researched before buying, and some will have to learn lessons the hard way. Still feel for the folks who get taken by things like this. I feel like if they had the $ they would buy at market value from a reputable source, so I'm certain it's much harder on those in this type of situation.

E-bay is a 62 billion USD company. It is HUGE. I'm guessing management cares, but the actually percentage of fakes across the entire auction spectrum is relatively small, with spikes in the luxury goods areas.

So it will be a function of when does bad press get bad enough that they have to hire more staff to monitor fake reports and seller profiles to repair their image. Not at that point yet, obviously.
